Taekwondo
Because bullying incidences can also take place off campus, where concerns about school suspension or expulsion take a backseat to kids’ personal safety, Taekwondo is our next choice for empowering kids to defend themselves on a physical level. Because our legs are longer and stronger than our arms, they are the primary weapons of this Korean martial art. Capitalizing on the length & strength of one’s legs via dynamic kicks, kids are able to keep a larger perimeter of safety; it allows kids to keep an aggressive bullying child (and their friends) further away from them. Hand strikes & blocks complement the kicks and vice versa.
